Doppelgangers: Fans say Ben (left) and Syed have similar face structure and eyebrows.

Dashing actor Ben Amir has been compared with Muar MP Syed Saddiq Abdul Rahman with his fans commenting that he bears a strong resemblance to the young politician.

Harian Metro ran a story about this, putting their two pictures together under a headline that said: Muka, kening, sama (Face, eyebrows, the same).

“There are indeed many fans on Twitter and Instagram who mentioned about face and eyebrows. Is it true?” asked the 28-year-old Ben, whose full name is Muhammad Amir Sabaruddin.

Ben said he was flattered by the comparison, adding that he subscribed to Syed Saddiq’s mission and work for youths.

The actor, who appeared in the drama Jojie Gigil, said he felt that Syed Saddiq conveyed the voice of the young generation.

> The daily also reported that a woman in Kuala Lumpur has to give up her 48 cats after her home caught fire.

Heni Pirngadi, whose house in Flat Loke Yew in Jalan Hang Tuah caught fire last week, said that she and her husband had cared for the cats for the past three years.

Heni, 32, said the cats were strays which they picked up.

“We took them in as we could not bear to see them roaming the streets to find food,” she said, adding that two of the cats died in the fire.

She said she needed to give away the cats now as her neighbours had found out about them and were uncomfortable with such a big number of cats.
