Liow loses Bentong to Wong Tack

BENTONG: MCA president Datuk Seri Liow Tiong Lai has lost his bid to retain the Bentong parliamentary seat in GE14.

He polled 23,684 votes against DAP's Wong Tack (pic) 25,716.

PAS' N. Balasubramaniam received 5,706 votes.

For the four state seats under Bentong, Barisan Nasional's Datuk Seri Adnan Yaakob, the Pahang Mentri Besar, retained Pelangai, while DAP continued to hold Ketari, Bilut and Sabai.

Young Syefura Othman will be first-term Ketari assemblyman, Kamache Doray Rajoo retains Sabai for the second time, while Lee Chin Chen (formerly Ketari rep) is now the Bilut rep.
