PETALING JAYA: Datuk Seri Mohamed Azmin Ali (pic) has defended his Bukit Antarabangsa state seat for a third term with 30,892 votes, a 25,512-vote majority.

His brother Azwan Ali, dubbed as “Diva AA”, only managed to garner 90 votes after running as an Independent candidate in GE14.

Newcomer Salwa Yunos from Barisan Nasional received 5,380 votes while PAS’ Sharifah Haslizah Syed Ariffin got 2,311.

In GE13, Azmin won the seat by beating Mohamad Nadzim Ibrahim from Barisan with 16,502 votes for a 4,044-vote majority.

Meanwhile, Azwan, in a WhatsApp message, said, “I’m already a winner. It’s over. Let’s move on.”
