Video of ruckus over EC officer with ballot paper is actually from 2013

PETALING JAYA: A viral video purportedly showing an Election Commission (EC) worker in possession of a ballot paper outside a polling station is actually from 2013.

The video, which has resurfaced on social media and is being spread on messaging apps like WhatsApp, was originally uploaded to YouTube on May 4, 2013, one day before polling that year.

The 53-second video was also uploaded and shared on numerous Facebook pages.

In the video, a man is heard scolding an EC worker for possessing what appears to be a ballot paper, claiming that it is an offence to do so.

However, it could not be determined where and when the incident occurred or if there was any investigation carried out over the incident.
