Dr M slips up, mistakenly tells people to support BN

KUALA LUMPUR: Whether it was a case of a Freudian slip or an honest mistake, Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad mistakenly told a crowd in Pantai Dalam here to support Barisan Nasional candidates in GE14.

“I am happy to see so many people here supporting Pakatan Harapan,” said Dr Mahathir at a ceramah on Thursday night.

“Give your support to Barisan candidates... oh, Pakatan Harapan,” said the Pakatan Harapan chairman, quickly correcting himself.

He laughed off the mistake as him being old and a “slip of the tongue”.

Dr Mahathir called his slip up as an “old habit” and said that he is now in the position of trying to topple his old party.

The former premier wrapped up his speech in 10 minutes, as he said that he has to make his way to another ceramah in Putrajaya.
