KLANG: Selangor Amanah election director Jaafar Samsudin is believed to have cited family reasons for quitting the party at the eleventh hour just before the election.

However, there is speculation that Jaafar, who heads the party's Kota Raja division, resigned due to unhappiness over the seat allocation or candidate selection.
