Police hunting for man who impregnated mentally-challenged woman

SIBU: The police are looking for a man who is suspected to have impregnated a 23-year-old mentally challenged woman.

 

Sibu deputy OCPD Supt Martin Koo said on Thursday (April 5) that the case came to light when the woman's 19-year-old sister noticed she had stopped menstruating for a month.

 

"As the victim did not answer her questions, her sister brought her to the hospital and doctors confirmed that she is five weeks pregnant," he added.

 

Supt Martin said the investigation found out that the victim met a stranger at at a coffee shop near her house in February and lost consciousness after consuming a drink offered by the man.

 

"When she came to, she found herself naked in a building. The man then sent her back to the coffee shop," he added.
