Selangor cops searching for mother of two children reported missing

PETALING JAYA: Police are urging the biological mother of two children who were reported missing from a kindergarten in Section 16 here to come forward immediately.

Selangor CID chief Senior Asst Comm Fadzil Ahmat confirmed that the children were not kidnapped but were instead taken by their mother.

"We have investigated the matter and have not found any criminal element.

"However, we urge the woman to come forward immediately to clear the air," he said when contacted Sunday.

It was reported Saturday (March 10) that the woman believed to be behind the disappearance of the siblings could have been their mother.

SAC Fadzil said information gathered so far pointed to a family-related matter.

Raheel Khan, six, and his younger sister Aleya Reyhana, four, were reported missing on Thursday (March 8) when their aunt went to pick them up from the kindergarten.

It is understood that the two siblings were taken by a woman, along with two men, on the pretext of taking them for a health check-up at 9am.
