PETALING JAYA: Speculation is rife that Bukit Bendera MP Zairil Khir Johari and DAP Youth committee member Dyana Sofya Mohd Daud will get engaged in Ipoh on Saturday (March 10).
Sinar Harian reported that news of their impending engagement has gone viral on Facebook when a netizen posted a congratulatory message to the pair.
Its attempt to call Dyana failed as a man who answered the reporter's call informed that she will not be speaking to anyone.
The pair had been rumoured to be dating when a series of photos of a couple resembling them circulated on social media last April.
In the controversial images, the couple were seen seated at a table in a restaurant with at least two other people.
However, Zairil, who is divorced with two young children, denied that it was him in the photos.
He described it as an attempt to "malign me with personal attacks" while Dyana said in a Facebook post that it was the third personal attack on her in two months.
She said it was an intrusion to a person's privacy no matter who was featured in the photos or videos.
