Kelana Jaya LRT station closed following storm

PETALING JAYA: The Kelana Jaya LRT station has been closed temporarily for security reasons following heavy rain and strong winds here on Saturday (March 3) afternoon.

The wind and rain caused several portions of the station's roof to be blown away, although no accidents or injuries were reported.

"Following the heavy rain, the Kelana Jaya LRT station operators closed the station for security reasons," Rapid KL said in a statement.

Trains from Gombak to Putra Heights and vice-versa will temporarily not stop at the station.

Those wanting to go to the Kelana Jaya can alight at the Taman Bahagia LRT station, where are shuttle buses are ready to ferry passengers.

Passengers are reminded to check for the latest updates on RapidKL's Facebook page and Twitter account.

"We would like to apologise for the difficulties faced. The safety of our passengers is our responsibility," they said.
