Petrol prices up for first week of March

PETALING JAYA: Petrol prices are up across the board for the first week of March.

RON95 petrol will be priced at RM2.20 per litre (up three sen from RM2.17) while RON97 will retail at RM2.47 per litre (up four sen from RM2.43).

Diesel will retail at RM2.18 per litre (up five sen from RM2.13).

The new prices were announced on RTM1 on Wednesday evening and will take effect from 12.01am on Thursday, March 1 until March 7.

The weekly fuel pricing mechanism came into effect in April last year and the prices of petrol and diesel have been placed on a managed monthly float system since Dec 1, 2014 following the removal of fuel subsidies.
