Toll discounts on four highways

KLANG: Some 653,500 users of four highways managed by Gamuda Group will enjoy discounts of 20 to 60 sen in conjunction with Chinese New Year.

Lingkaran Trans Kota Sdn Bhd (Litrak) chief executive officer Sazally Saidi said discounts would be given to users of all types of vehicles on the Damansara-Puchong Expressway (LDP) and the Sprint Highway from midnight to 11.59pm on Feb 16.

“LDP users will enjoy a discount of 60 sen, while Sprint Highway users will get a discount of 20 sen.

“Kesas Highway users will also get a 20-sen discount, but only for Class 1 vehicles.

“Users of Class 1 and 4 vehicles on the Smart Tunnel motorway will enjoy a 30-sen discount from 6am this Saturday until 6am the next day,” he told a press conference at Rumah Perawatan Sentosa, a nursing home, here.

Sazally said until the end of 2017, RM15mil had been allocated for toll incentives in conjunction with the main festival celebrations.

Volunteers from Litrak, LDP, Sprint and Smart Tunnel took part in a gotong-royong programme at Rumah Perawatan Sentosa, which has 27 residents aged 45 to 65.

Sazally said 30 volunteers did repair works and repainted the home.

“We also contributed daily essentials like groceries, toiletries, disposable diapers and ang pow to the residents,” he added. — Bernama
