SHAH ALAM: Actor and director Datuk Farid Kamil has once again appeared on the police's radar after lodging a new police report.
"I can confirm that he made a report on Wednesday (Jan 31) in relation to the incident that led to his arrest. He wrote about a lot of things in the report and we are currently investigating them," said Selangor CID chief Senior Asst Comm Fadzil Ahmat.
He said this after a handing over of duties ceremony between outgoing Shah Alam OCPD SAC Shafien Mamat and incoming OCPD Asst Comm Baharudin Mat Taib.
SAC Fadzil said that Farid should have gone through a lawyer before making the report as his case was still under investigation.
"It could be seen as sub-judice as the case is still being heard in court," said SAC Fadzil, adding that Farid would be called in to give his statement soon.
Farid was arrested for allegedly attacking a police officer and a civilian at the Kota Damansara traffic police station on Jan 11.
He claimed trial to the assault charge on Jan 16.
The actor was then charged on Jan 25 with self administering THC (Tetrahydrocannabinol), one of the active components in ganja, into his body.
He also pleaded not guilty to the drug charge.
