Actor Farid Kamil pleads not guilty to assault charges


PETALING JAYA: Actor and director Datuk Farid Kamil Zahari (pic) has claimed trial in a magistrate’s court to two counts of causing hurt to a policeman and a civilian at a police station here last week.

Farid, 37, also pleaded not guilty to two counts of using criminal force to deter a public servant from discharging his duty and for disorderly conduct.

The offence was allegedly committed the offence at Kota Damansara police station at 1.20pm on Jan 11.

The actor is understood to have been lodging an accident report at the police station when he allegedly slapped the policeman taking his report and kicked the leg of the man next to him.
