Fuel prices up for week of Jan 4


PETALING JAYA: Fuel prices are up across the board from Jan 4.

The price of RON95 is up three sen to RM2.29 per litre (from RM2.26 per litre), while RON97 goes up by three sen to RM2.56 per litre (from RM2.53 per litre).

Meanwhile, the price of diesel goes up by six sen to RM2.32 per litre (from RM2.26 per litre)

The new prices, which were announced on RTM1 on Wednesday evening, will take effect from 12.01am on Jan 4 until Jan 10, 2018.

The weekly fuel pricing mechanism came into effect in April last year and the prices of petrol and diesel had been placed on a managed monthly float system since Dec 1, 2014 following the removal of fuel subsidies.
