Green light for upgrading works on Senai-Desaru Expressway

PENGERANG: The Government has approved upgrading works for the Senai-Desaru Expressway (SDE), said Works Minister Datuk Seri Fadillah Yusof. Under the project, 26km will be upgraded from the current two lanes to four lanes in both directions for better road safety.

“We are in the final stage of study and will conclude the final design before tendering the project,” he said after launching the first phase of the new FT092 14km road to the Navy Recruit Training Centre (Pularek) here. There is no cost estimate yet, but in principle, the ministry has received approval for the upgrading work, he said.
