KUALA LUMPUR: Television host Azwan Ali has pledged to work with Umno to bring down his own brother, Selangor Mentri Besar Datuk Seri Azmin Ali, and his administration.

Azwan said he had “kept his anger” for over five years and finally lost confidence in his brother's leadership.

He said he would not hesitate to reveal his brother's “secrets”.

"I have kept Azmin's secrets and I will expose them one by one," he told a press conference at the Putra World Trade Centre, where the Umno General Assembly is taking place this week.

Azwan, clad in a dark-red jubah, was accompanied by Sungai Besar Umno division chief Datuk Seri Jamal Yunos, who expressed his intention to contest against Azmin for the Bukit Antarabangsa state seat.

Azwan claimed to have lost many jobs and some performing offers on television when he publicly supported his brother.

“Many television stations banned me when they saw I stood behind him," he claimed.

Azwan said he would work with Jamal and campaign for him.

Azwan is now the second sibling to have a public spat with Azmin, with his sister Ummi Hafilda also openly criticising him.
