Uncle Fishy puts a bigsmile on patients’ faces

Comedy with heart: Leong entertaining a sick child at Hospital Temenggung Seri Maharaja Tun Ibrahim in Kulai, Johor.

JOHOR BARU: He has a Master’s degree in biotechnology and had a cushy job as a research and development manager, but Edward Leong gave all that up to entertain the sick and old.

Leong, 48, also known as “Uncle Fishy”, started dressing up as a clown to entertain people at commercial events as a hobby 17 years ago while holding a day job with a US-based aquaculture company in Penang.
