IPOH: Sultan of Kedah Sultan Sallehuddin ibni Almarhum Sultan Badlishah heads the list of 331 recipients of honours and awards in conjunction with Perak Ruler Sultan Nazrin Muizzuddin Shah’s 61st birthday today.
He will be bestowed the Darjah Kerabat DiRaja Yang Amat Dihormati (DK), the state’s highest award, at the investiture ceremony at Istana Iskandariah in Kuala Kangsar on Sunday.
Public Service Department director-general Tan Sri Zainal Rahim Seman and Pos Malaysia Bhd chairman Tan Sri Mohd Khamil Jamil will receive the Darjah Seri Paduka Mahkota Perak (SPMP), which carries the title Datuk Seri.
Receiving the Darjah Seri Panglima Taming Sari (SPTS), which carries the title Datuk Seri Panglima, will be Deputy Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Noor Rashid Ibrahim and Army chief Jen Datuk Seri Zulkiple Kassim.
State executive councillor Datuk Rusnah Kassim, Non-Governmental Organisations, Civil Society and Anti-Crime Committee chairman Datuk Samsudin Abu Hassan, and Kamalbina Sdn Bhd managing director Datuk Kamarulbahrin Zainuddin will receive the Darjah Dato Paduka Cura Si Manja Kini (DPCM), which carries the title Datuk.
New Straits Times group editor Yushaimi Maulud Yahaya and Perak State Assembly Speaker S. Thangasvari receive the Darjah Dato Paduka Mahkota Perak (DPMP) which carries the title Datuk.
Former national runner S. Josephine Mary, who won numerous medals for the country, will receive the Darjah Ahli Mahkota Perak (AMP) along with 1961 South-East Asian Peninsula (SEAP) Games javelin gold medalist Ng Kah Liew, national triple jumper Muhammad Hakimi Ismail and national footballer Mohamad Nasir Basharudin.
