Budget 2018: Tax rates for households earning less than RM9k to be reduced

PETALING JAYA: The government will lower the tax rate for households that earn less than RM9,000 a month, said Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak.

The Prime Minister said these cuts will be applicable to the middle class, and he added that the tax rate will be reduced by two percentage points for those earning between RM20,000 and RM70,000 in annual taxable income.
