Datuk Seri claims trial to slapping son of Datuk


KUALA LUMPUR: A businessman with the  'Datuk Seri' title claimed trial in a magistrate's court to voluntarily causing hurt to a teenage boy, who is the son of a businesswoman with the  'Datuk' title, last June.

Aminul Islam Abdul Nor, 50, is accused of slapping Muhammad Nuraiman Danish Erwazri, 17, at the lift area of the Sunway Putra Hotel, Jalan Putra here, about 3.30am on June 17.

The charge carries a jail term of up to one year or a fine of up to RM2,000, or both.

Magistrate Ahmad Solihin Abd Wahid allowed Aminul Islam, who was unrepresented, bail at RM2,000 in one surety and set Sept 26 for case mention. - Bernama
