Ex-Tupong rep Daud Abdul Rahman dies


KUCHING: Former Tupong assemblyman Datuk Daud Abdul Rahman, 66, passed away at the Timberland Medical Centre here on Sunday.

His daughter Siti Masihah, 34, said Daud passed away at 4.10pm of heart complications.

Daud had been warded at the hospital since Wednesday.

Daud, a former state Cabinet minister, was Tupong assemblyman for five terms since 1991. He did not contest in the 2016 Sarawak state elections.

He leaves behind wife Datin Noraini Hussin, 64, and three children and the burial is expected at the Samariang Muslim cemetery on Monday. - Bernama
