PETALING JAYA: With a deep love for the country at its core, the Aku Negaraku music video has been announced as the theme song for the Negaraku initiative.
Negaraku (My Country), which is the brainchild of Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak, is aimed at igniting the spirit of patriotism in Malaysians, to set aside differences and to stand united in achieving the goal to develop Malaysia into a more prosperous and successful nation.
Sung by popular local songbirds Hafiz Suip and Jaclyn Victor, the upbeat Aku Negaraku song is a modern and contemporary composition with a lively, exciting rhythm.
The lyrics, which are easy to sing along to, cultivates a deep love for the country.
It also awakens a keen sense of gratitude for this peaceful place we call home, as Malaysia is a fortunate place where one can build a future with much pride and gusto.
Aku Negaraku, which means I Am Malaysia, is a reminder that we are the ones who play an important role in building a successful country which retains its independence.
All 31 million Malaysians have an important role in contributing towards the country’s development and success.
The music video was also produced using robotics technology, which is a new approach in the Malaysian production field.
The clip’s concept centres on the rich diversity of races and cultures in Malaysia, a key element of the country portrayed with cheerful, energetic faces of all ages.
The song was composed to add a splash of colour to the Negaraku initiative, which also aims to ignite pride, love and aspiration for Malaysia among Malaysians.
To further liven up the Negaraku initiative, the rakyat is encouraged to share and spread the video, which will also boost the spirit of patriotism among fellow Malaysians.
The Aku Negaraku clip can be viewed on www.negaraku.com and on television soon.
