I am still in Malaysia, says JJPTR founder on FB page

GEORGE TOWN: JJPTR founder Johnson Lee (pic) is still in Malay­sia.

This is according to a video posted on the company’s official Face­book page yesterday.

In the one-and-half minute video clip, Lee claimed he was in Penang and showed Komtar for three se­conds in the clip.

The video was apparently posted in response to talk that he had fled to Thailand.

In the recording, Lee, 28, reminded investors that the com­­­pany’s office would be closed on Labour Day today.

 

He also an­­nounced that a JJPTR dinner gathering sche­duled to be held on May 20 at Ber­jaya Times Square in Kuala Lumpur would only have vegetarian food.

In an earlier video posted on Saturday, Lee announced that he will be attending the gathering with some 1,000 investors.

In a JJPTR investor WeChat group, Lee posted a photograph of him having roti canai, apparently to show that he was still in Malaysia.

A print screen of the posting has gone viral on social media but it is not known when he made the posting.

An employee at the JJPTR main office in Perak Road said his boss would not run away from his responsibility.

“If he wanted to run, he would already have left earlier.

“He won’t be waiting until today,” he said when met at the office yesterday.

The employee, however, said that he had not seen Lee for about 10 days and did not know his whereabouts.

“He still communicates with us in the WeChat groups and also posts videos from time to time to update us on the company’s deve­lopment,” he added.
