Star Foundation to contribute to 1,700 rural pupils in Sarawak

PETALING JAYA: About 1,700 rural pupils in Sarawak will receive food and education aid for a year, thanks to donations from the Star Foundation and various other individuals and organisations amounting to RM1.23mil.

"We're touched by the overwhelming support," said Datuk Richard Lee, the organising chairman of the Rural Kids Education Fund, after receiving mock cheques from Star Foundation and five other donors at Menara Star here on Thursday.
