Dept opens probe over brutal bashing of dog

PETALING JAYA: The Department of Veterinary Services (DVS) has started an investigation into the case of a man brutally bashing a guard dog at a housing estate here.

In a statement Friday, the department said the case is being investigated under Section 44 of the Animal Act 1953 for animal cruelty.
