Contactless payments expected to go up 100%


Maybank Investment Bank Bhd (Maybank IB) said yesterday that Maybank may issue up to RM10bil under the senior sukuk murabahah and/or subordinated sukuk programme under the syariah principle of murabahah

PETALING JAYA: Maybank foresees a 100% increase in the number of its customers using contactless payments by the end of next year, after the launch of Maybank Samsung Pay.

Maybank Group chief strategy officer Michael Foong said that estimation follows the success of Maybank Pay in July this year, which saw about 40,000 installations of the digital wallet to date.
