PETALING JAYA: The B40 group has the fastest growth in income compared with other income groups, said Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak.
"Khazanah Research Institute's report indicates that the B40 household income has the fastest growth in income compared to the M40 and T20. B40 refers to the bottom 40% of households with monthly income RM3,900 and below," said Najib in his Budget 2017 speech in the Dewan Rakyat Friday.
"For the M40 group, the household income ranges between RM3,900 and RM8,300," said Najib.
He added that Budget 2017 is not to benefit certain groups.
"It is formulated and re-engineered to be inclusive, particularly for the well-being of the rakyat," said Najib.
