Asean Summit: Congestion to build up at city’s Golden Triangle area

Heavy but moving: Traffic congestion during the morning rush hour period at Jalan Sultan Ismail remained at the normal levels yesterday. The road is among 12 main roads leading to the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre which police will close in stages until Sunday in conjunction with the 27th Asean Summit

KUALA LUMPUR: Motorists in the city’s Golden Triangle area can expect traffic congestion during rush hour to get heavier in the coming days as regional and world leaders converge here for the 27th Asean Summit and related summits.

The temporary and gradual road closures here for the smooth movement of the leaders and delegates to the summit venue, Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre (KLCC), may cause delay to some road users.
