PUTRAJAYA: District council meetings will be broadcast live over the Internet in a move to make the local authorities more accountable to the people, says Urban Wellbeing and Local Government Minister Datuk Abdul Rahman Dahlan.
For a start, he said six local councils would have their meetings streamed live online in a pilot project, which is expected to begin at the end of this year.
