KTM Commuter service connecting Kamunting and Gurun launched

BUTTERWORTH: KTM Berhad has announced a new train service to benefit commuters within the northern region.

The KTM Komuter which begins operation Friday will connect Kamunting, Perak to Gurun, Kedah via Butterworth, Penang.

Travelling duration between the 144km route is expected to take only two hours, and will stop by total 11 stations.

There will be 14 services daily - seven from Kamunting and seven from Gurun, with an average interval of three hours for each service.

Ticket prices range from RM1 to RM10.50 for adults.
