Women fined for offering bribe to TNB officer


SHAH ALAM: A bakery owner cried when she was slapped with a RM4,000 fine by the Sessions Court here for offering a RM400 bribe to a Tenaga Nasional Bhd (TNB) officer.

Peng Ngo Bet, 55, pleaded guilty to offering the bribe to TNB investigation and intelligence division senior manager Muhammad Prem Haikal Abdullah as an inducement to not cut electricity supply to her shop in Taman Cheras Awana, Cheras.
