Federal Court adjourns Negri govt’s appeal in cross-dressing case

PUTRAJAYA: The Federal Court has adjourned the Negri Sembilan government's appeal against a declaration criminalising cross-dressing as unconstitutional, to decide on two preliminary grounds.

The state government's lawyer, Tan Sri Muhammad Shafee Abdullah, argued that the legal challenge should have started at the Federal Court as it involved constitutional matters.
