MIRI: A 22-year-old beauty from Penampang, Sabah, has been crowned Miss Global International Malaysia 2015.

College student, Immaculate Lojuki, was adjudged the most beautiful among 16 finalists from throughout Malaysia in the final of the beauty contest hosted by Miri City at a country resort that ended at about 1am, Sunday.

She will now represent Malaysia in the upcoming Miss Global International contest in Japan.

Runner-up was Livonia Ricky from Kuching. The 24-year-old actress will represent Malaysia in Miss Intercontinental to be held in Germany later this year.

Winning third spot was 20-year-old student from Kuala Lumpur, Tanisha Kaur, who will be representing Malaysia in Miss Supranational in Poland.

The organiser’s chairman Marlene Lim said the event is in its fifth year running and has become the biggest national beauty contest to be staged in east Malaysia.

"These beauties will serve as ambassadors of Malaysia at the global events they will be taking part in," said Lim.

She also thanked the many sponsors from across the country who had enabled the event to be successfully staged here.
