KUALA LUMPUR: Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad says he will not stop writing about 1Malaysia Development Berhad (1MDB) on his chedet.cc blog.

He said he was aware that several publications have been under pressure to cease their reporting on 1MDB, following warnings from the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC).

“There is a clampdown against the media, but I will keep writing about 1MDB,” he told reporters at a hotel here on Friday.

The former prime minister has been one of 1MDB’s fiercest critics, as he constantly put the Government to task over 1MDB's management of its funds.

The authorities have warned against publishing any reports on 1MDB as a special task force conducts its investigations.

Whistleblower site Sarawak Report has been blocked while two publications of The Edge have been suspended over their reports on 1MDB.
