SPAD will clamp down on private vehicles used as taxis

PETALING JAYA: Private vehicle-for-hire services that flout regulations will be hauled in, says Land Public Transport Commission (SPAD) chairman Tan Sri Dr Syed Hamid Albar.

Speaking to reporters after introducing two new Mobile Operation Vehicles to SPAD's enforcement fleet, Syed Hamid said that so far 85 cases had been brought to court.
