Noor escorted out of the courtroom after he was charged

KUALA LUMPUR: A retiree was charged with 11 counts of paedophilia involving boys aged between eight and 14 years.

The alleged offences took place at Noor's apartment unit in Genting Court condominium, in Setapak Indah Jaya, here, between 2013 and 2015.

He pleaded guilty to a charge of illegally possessing pornographic material, including 32 CDs, an album with photos of the victims naked, and three handphone with photos of the victims naked.

Noor, who was unrepresented, asked that the charges be read to him in Cantonese.

Noor faces up to 15 years prison and whipping, if convicted under Section 377E of the Penal Code for inciting a child to perform sexual acts.

The charge under Section 292A for possession of obscene materials is punishable up to three years prison and a fine.

Siti Aisyah also said the case involved many victims, all in their early teens.

He will hand down a sentence for the offence under Section 292a, which Noor plead guilty to, on May 8.
