Jobless man shot dead in front of his house in Sungai Siput

IPOH: A 28-year-old jobless man was shot dead in front of his house in Sungai Siput, some 30km from here, early Saturday.

The man had just got out of his car and was about to enter the house, around 12.30am, when his father heard multiple gunshots.

The victim was found collapsed on the porch of the house.

Sungai Siput OCPD Superintendent Wan Jamil Wan Chik said the police found gunshot wounds in the victim's left arm, right shoulder, left cheek and back of the head near the right ear.

"We also found five 9mm magazines and two shells.

"The victim's wallet and two handphones were untouched," he said.

Supt Wan Jamil added that the post mortem on the body would be done at the Raja Permaisuri Bainun Hospital.
