IGP cannot be compelled to retrieve Indira Gandhi’s daughter, Court of Appeal rules

PUTRAJAYA: The Inspector-General of Police (IGP) cannot be compelled to recover M. Indira Gandhi's (pic) daughter from her muslim convert ex-husband, the Court of Appeal ruled.

In a majority judgment, panel chairman Justice Abdul Aziz Abd Rahim dismissed Indira's appeal to enforce the Ipoh High Court’s mandamus order compelling IGP Datuk Seri Khalid Abu Bakar to retrieve Indira’s six-year-old child, Prasana Diksa and arrest her ex-husband Mohd Ridhuan Abdullah.
