PETALING JAYA: Umno leaders must stop making conflicting statements like calling for the abolition of vernacular schools if it wants to attract the support of the Chinese, said Umno president Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak.
He said Umno must accept the political reality that Chinese support is crucial if it wants Barisan Nasional to continue leading the Government.
