KUALA LUMPUR: A pimp landed himself in prison after he was caught red-handed by an undercover policeman.
Kueh Siow Huang, 40, was arrested after he offered sexual services with the intention of pimping to Sjn Ravidran Ponniah, 51, in front of a bank along Jalan Sultan Ismail at about 10.15pm on Nov 19.
According to the facts of case, policemen had acted on information from informants about prostitution activities and went to patrol the area.
Sjn Ravidran, together with Insp Effendi Yusof, and a group of policemen were approached by Kueh who offered them prostitutes.
Kueh, a father of a 15-year-old, pleaded guilty to the charge and asked for a lower fine, claiming what he was doing was his only source of income.
DPP Noor Svetlana Mohd Noor Nordin asked for a deterrent sentence so that Kueh would not commit the crime again.
Magistrate Nur A'minahtul Mardiah Md Nor fined Kueh RM1,500 and three months jail in default. He did not pay the fine.
