Transparency International lauds Adenan over resolve in tackling corruption

PETALING JAYA: Transparency International-Malaysia (TI-M) has lauded Sarawak Chief Minister Tan Sri Adenan Satem for his resolve to combat the rampant corruption in the state’s timber industry.  

President of TI-M, Datuk Akhbar Satar said that Adenan’s assurance to put an end to the issuance of new timber licences was timely and pivotal given the “gravity of the de-forestation in the state.”
