KUALA LUMPUR: Local fruit sellers have requested that the Government initiate the Global Good Agricultural Practice (Global GAP), an international certification of agricultural products that will help to further expand the export market.
Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department Datuk Dr Wee Ka Siong said although the country’s local farming practices are as good as other nations, it takes a while for Malaysian fruits to be exported as they are subjected to approvals from foreign agencies.
