‘Mek Mulung’ now an arts heritage

JITRA: The Kedah government has declared Mek Mulung, a traditional Malay theatre unique to the state, as a performing arts heritage.

Mentri Besar Datuk Seri Mukhriz Mahathir said the state government would initiate efforts to promote the 400-year-old art form on a national and global scale.
