Quiet start to Azmin's first day as Selangor MB

SHAH ALAM: Selangor's 15th Mentri Besar Azmin Ali (pic) started his first day at work in his new position without any grand welcome or fanfare.

He arrived at 7.50am Wednesday and was greeted by a small group of people.

Azmin then proceeded to his office on the 21st floor of the State Secretariat building, where he had a meeting with state secretary Datuk Khusrin Munawi.

He later went to the 22nd floor to meet with department heads.

Stopping briefly to speak to reporters, Azmin said he would have an audience with Selangor Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah on Thursday to discuss the new exco line-up to be sworn in Friday.

Azmin was appointed mentri besar on Tuesday.
