Online post helps nab man who raped teen


A MAN, who allegedly raped an underage teenager, has been arrested, thanks to netizens and Good Samaritans.

Nanyang Siang Pau reported that members of the public, who responded to a widely circulated online post about the rape, launched their own hunt for the suspect in the Klang Valley.

After a two-day search, the public found the 30-year-old man hiding in a temple in Klang, arrested him and handed him over to the police on Saturday evening.

In a video recorded by members of the public, the man confessed that he had had sex with a 13-year-old girl.

Sentul OCPD Asst Comm R. Munusamy confirmed the arrest.

The man took out three sacks and poured out more than 40 stacks of notes onto the counter. Each stack contained 500 yuan (RM260).
