A 15-YEAR-OLD girl who escaped from a rehabilitation centre was sexually assaulted by 16 men at a cemetery in Jalan Kuari, Cheras, reported Berita Harian.

The victim was abducted at an isolated area and brought to the cemetery, where 15 other men were waiting in the 8pm incident on Monday, said City CID deputy chief Asst Comm Khairi Ahrasa.

She was gang-raped and forced to perform oral sex. The rapists then abandoned her at the cemetery.

“A security guard who was making his rounds in the area then found her and contacted the police station,” he said.

Two suspects have been identified.

> Touching open letters written by two Year Four pupils from Sekolah Kebangsaan Setiawangsa on the suffering of Gaza children have gone viral in cyberspace, reported Harian Metro.

Pupil Mohammad Aqeef Mohd Radzlan said: “I wrote about the reasons why Israel should stop all the violence against Palestine.

“Palestine is a poor country and it cannot retaliate,” he added.

Mohammad Aqeef regularly followed the latest developments of the Gaza conflict on television and shared information with friends and family.

His classmate Farhad Rusyidi also expressed sadness over the situation in Gaza.

“In my open letter, I wrote a little bit about the history of both nations, where Palestine had once given a helping hand to Israel,” Farhad said.

“If Israel destroys Palestine, Palestine will no longer be on the map because it is a small country.”
