KUALA TERENGGANU: Solicitor-General Tan Sri Idrus Harun headed a list of 76 who received awards in conjunction with the 52nd birthday of the Sultan of Terengganu, Sultan Mizan Zainal Abidin.
During the investiture ceremony held yesterday at the Sultan’s palace, Idris was conferred the Darjah Seri Paduka Mahkota Terengganu (S.P.M.T) which carried the title “Datuk”.
Also receiving the S.P.M.T were Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB) chief executive officer Datuk Seri Azman Mohd and former Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Ismail Omar.
Terengganu youth and sports and human resources committee chairman Datuk Rozi Mamat was awarded the Darjah Dato’ Paduka Mahkota Terengganu (D.P.M.T) which also carries the title “Datuk”.
Another 13 recipients of the same award included State Legislative Assembly Speaker Datuk Mohd Zubir Embong, deputy state secretary (development) Datuk Wan Nawawi Wan Ismail, Kemaman district officer Datuk Mustafar Khalid and Dungun district officer Datuk Mohd Akil Mat.
Seven people were conferred the Darjah Setia Sultan Mizan Zainal Abidin Terengganu (S.M.Z), 13 received the Darjah Setia Mahkota Terengganu (S.M.T), two the Darjah Ahli Mizan Zainal Abidin Terengganu (A.M.Z) and 37 the Darjah Ahli Mahkota Terengganu (A.M.T).
Sultan Mizan presented the awards and medals to all recipients.
Also present at the ceremony was the Sultanah of Terengganu, Sultanah Nur Zahirah, Menteri Besar Datuk Ahmad Razif Abdul Rahman and his wife Toh Puan Halina Zakaria, State Secretary Datuk Mazlan Ngah, members of the royal family, members of Dewan Pangkuan DiRaja and state exco members. — Bernama
