KUANTAN: Police have detained a woman in Monday's Kuantan road bully case for investigations for criminal intimidation and mischief.
OCPD Asst Comm Abdul Aziz Salleh said 30-year-old Siti Fairrah Ashykin Kamaruddin (pic) came to the police station on Thursday after being summoned and was detained.
He did not say how long the woman would be held.
"That will depend on the investigations, let us look into the matter first," he said.
ACP Abdul Aziz said Siti Fairrah had thrown the steering lock away "somewhere in Kuantan."
The investigations under Section 427 and 506 of the Penal Code have a jail term of two years or fine or both under each section.
In the incident, an enraged woman was recorded spewing verbal abuses and hammering an elderly man’s vehicle with a steering lock after he accidentally hit her brand new Peugeot.
A video of the incident, which was uploaded onto Youtube, instantly went viral.
In the footage taken by a nearby motorist, the screaming assailant called the man ‘very stupid’ and hurled racist remarks. She also demanded that he pay RM2,000 in compensation.
