JOHOR BARU: These traders were hoping to score big by selling imitation World Cup jerseys but instead were “netted” by state Domestic Trade, Cooperative and Consumerism Department enforcement officers.
The officers have seized 1,400 jerseys since the international football tournament kicked off last month and the 12 traders caught trying to sell the fake apparel will face legal action, said department director Ayub Abdul Rahman.
